Carie Tate: Ready? Cam, what do you want to do today?
Cam: I ride a truck.
Speaker 3: That’s perfect.
Carie Tate: What do you want to do today?
Cam: I buy a house.
Chad Tate: Hey, everybody. Chad Tate here from Opening Doors Properties here to show you another project. We buy houses. This is a house that we did in partnership with another investor. It’s in a historic neighborhood in Charlotte, called Dilworth, and we restored this house to its original look. It’s difficult to do that sometimes, but we’re okay with doing it.
One of the challenges with this house was that it had been vacant for years. Someone had tried to do some repairs to it, but they really made a lot of mistakes and left a big mess for us to clean up, which is fine. That’s okay. That’s what we’re here to do. In addition, there were all kinds of problems with easements, and right of way issues, and things that we had to deal with, with the city as well as with some of the neighbors. And we can solve all those problems.
So whether you’ve inherited a house or you have a house that’s been sitting for a long time, maybe with nobody living in it, any kind of damage, none of that scares us. That’s okay with us.
